This image depicts the first photograph I ever took. These 2 photos were taken on June 24th 1995 in Havana, Cuba.
This piece displays the photograph's ability to stop time and depict change. You quickly identify the change that has taken place when you see the two images.
This installation consists of a hollow pedestal that has been adapted to hold a sitting subject, covered by a plexiglas box. The performance was executed during the First Friday Gallery hop in Tallahassee, at the Phylis Strauss Gallery. Nick Parparian was kind enough to participate on the performance and stayed inside the installation for over 1 hour, his instructions were to interact (or not) as much or as little as he wanted with the viewers.
The works in this series are paintings stetched on canvas that have been covered with wrapping paper and hung in the gallery. A red dot indicating a sale was placed on the information label. They were displayed during the First Friday Gallery hop at the Nan Boynton Memorial Gallery in Tallahassee Florida.
This installation consists of a series of 63 found phonebooks which were stacked on top of each other until they reached a beam at the end of the wall of the gallery.
This installation consists of a series of found objects which were put together in order to create a " sustainable environment ", which is in fact only sustained by the gallery goers who were suppoused to activate the water fountain to water the plant.
This installation was made using rolls of clear packing tape which were taped to the wall and left to unrravel during a gallery opening. The piece lasts about 10-12 hours which is the time it takes the rolls of tape to reach the floor.
